Our Supporters
Keep Shropshire Beautiful is backed by a growing coalition of local people, elected representatives, conservation organisations, and community groups who share our belief that this is the wrong development in the wrong place.

Stuart Anderson MP
Member of Parliament for South Shropshire
Stuart Anderson has formally backed the Keep Shropshire Beautiful campaign. As the MP whose constituency covers Walton, Onibury and Craven Arms, he understands what is at stake for this landscape and its communities. Stuart previously raised concerns in the House of Commons about a comparable solar farm proposal near Much Wenlock, helping to secure its withdrawal before it ever reached a planning committee vote.

Shropshire Barn Owl Group
The Shropshire Barn Owl Group has formally confirmed the presence of an active barn owl nestbox on the proposed site, installed in 2005 and producing 14 owlets to date, alongside a generations-old roost tree. Their letter forms part of our formal evidence submission to Shropshire Council. The SBOG has monitored barn owl populations in Shropshire for decades and has stated clearly that every breeding pair matters in stemming the county's near-50 per cent population decline since 1932.

CPRE Shropshire
CPRE Shropshire, the Campaign to Protect Rural England's Shropshire branch, has engaged with this campaign and is actively considering how to support it, including potential involvement from CPRE's national office, which has developed the organisation's rooftop solar campaign. CPRE's position — that solar energy belongs on rooftops and brownfield land, not on productive countryside — aligns directly with ours.
